Enjoy gentle yoga surrounded by inspiring art in the Jacoby Art Gallery.
YogArt is a mixed-level Hatha yoga class with an emphasis on connecting the breath to movement and asanas (postures). Ms. Beals encourages all to move with their bodies compassionately and non-competitively while destressing and relaxing.
Ms. Paula Beals is a 200 hour certified yoga instructor who has enjoyed her own yoga practice for over 20 years. She has taught at SIUE, Premiere Performance Dance Studio, the Edwardsville YMCA, and the Madison County Juvenile Detention Center. She has also trained in Pilates and taught ballet and modern dance.
Paula currently teaches Adult Ballet and Modern Dance every Monday at Jacoby Art Center right after YogArt - stay a bit longer and try out her dance classes too!
