About the Event

Pinhole Camera Photography

Students will experiment with various kinds of pinhole cameras to create interesting works of art. Pinhole cameras work like no other camera! They are lighttight boxes with a tiny hole for a lens and a simple shutter to let in the light. They take dreamy, surreal pictures where everything in the frame is in focus. Students may borrow Jacoby's cameras for the class. Some darkroom work is included, experience is helpful but not necessary.

Come check out our newest addition to the JACOBY STUDIOS- our darkroom studio!  Join artist-in-residence Jeff Sass as he walks you through the fascinating process of creating art with a pinhole camera. No experience or camera needed- JAC will provide everything you need!

Jeff Sass is an accomplished photographer and artist.  Amazing happenstance, too perfect to be truly coincidental, led him to become the dark room facilitator and photography artist-in-residence at JAC! Jeff is recently retired and will be spending his days running his business, Prints of Darkness, from the new darkroom at Jacoby.
