About the Event
FREE Art Club
When: Tuesdays 5PM-6:30PM
Where: Downstairs classroom at Jacoby Arts Center, 627 E. Broadway Alton, IL
Cost: FREE thanks to a local private donor
Ages: 5-15 (all skill levels welcome)
AUG - Students will learn to create Sculptures and clay pots using coil building and hand building techniques alongside cutting and pasting.
SEPT - Students will create Optical Illusions using paper weaving and drawing techniques.
OCT - Students will explore Drawing through 1 and 2 point perspectives and experiment with different colored paper and drawing mediums.
NOV - Students will create various Yarn projects alongside cutting skills, knoting techniques, and even paper mache!
Young artists will be exposed to different media like drawing, painting, clay, fibers, and more.
This program is designed to help young artists experiment with many art mediums, creating a more well-rounded maker. Learn a new skill, experiment with art, and hang out with other creatives.
Art club is a private donor-funded program providing free art activities weekly for students ages 5-15.
Cost of instruction and supplies are provided by Jacoby Arts Center through a generous private donation to provide youth arts programming for the Riverbend community.
