Gel Plate Printmaking uses a gelatin plate to press paint onto fabric or paper creating textures and layers of colour.

In this class, we will be creating abstract art pieces using a gel plate and acrylic inks & paints.

We will explore the use of natural materials along with geometric shapes throughout the process to create a contrasting composition.

Mono-prints will be layered on top of one another to create each individual piece of art!

Basic tools and techniques will be demonstrated and discussed - all skill levels welcome.

Please wear your paint shirt :-)

Lou Ann Branz is an accomplished artist and works with a variety of mediums.

With her background in social work & substitute teaching, combined with her hands-on knowledge of landscape & abstract painting, printmaking and even papermaking at City Museum in STL, she is sure to guide you through an enjoyable printmaking experience.
