with Herbalist and Chef Rona Leah

The first of a series of culinary and medicinal plant-driven workshops by Rona Leah

Sunday November 6 join us at Jacoby Arts Center to learn all about the healing and nourishing support of a few amazing fall and winter herbs. We will use them deliciously in an herb sauce and cider. We will be working with Parsley, Cilantro, Sage, Rosemary, Star Anise, Cinnamon, Mint, Thyme and Stinging Nettle. 

Each student will need to bring:

- 16oz Apple Cider Vinegar - (2) 16oz jars with lids - 1 lemon - 1 orange - Bring coffee mug from home

About Chef Rona

Rona Leah is the founder of Celeste Farm STL. A small farm focusing on medicinal and culinary herbs along side vegetables in the meadows of the midwest. A chef with a focus on medicinal, foraged and farm-to-table recipes with quite a following. Chef Rona is an advocate for preserving food, traditions, and the rituals that accompany them and for ending food apartheid. A folk herbalist and educator with a focus on cooking with herbs- culinary, medicinal and wild-and the many ways plant medicine can become a part of your everyday food; nourishing you and supporting your body and whole well-being deliciously. Rona Leah also designs community culinary arts programs to bring this knowledge of cooking with herbs to the broader public in an accessible way. A writer. An environmentalist. A social media influencer. Curious always.

Rona Leah is a Food as Medicine Educator at Tend & Flourish School of Botanicals and a Slow Food St. Louis Board Member.
