Students must bring a camera - no special equipment necessary. Any camera will due even your cell phone! This workshop is focused on learning an approach to photography and exploring. 

Composition

In this workshop we  will discuss the elements of composition to better tell your story. From  leading lines to symmetry and balance we will practice putting them  together to make for better photographs.

Mike Matney has been focusing his photography on architectural artifacts for the last few years and will guide you through this minimalist approach to photography.

Explore the downtown area of Alton near Jacoby Arts Center and discover architectural artifacts to capture on camera. Participants will discuss their photography and reflect on their experience with like-minded individuals.
