Explore a variety of clay hand building methods! This class is designed for anyone that is new to working with clay. We will explore a variety of methods, including pinch, sculpt, coil, and slab building. Upon completion, clay projects must be dropped back off to Jacoby Arts Center for firing in the kiln, then picked up once fired.

Have you always wanted to learn the basics of throwing clay on the wheel?  Beginning students will learn how to center a ball of clay and shape it into various objects.  Students with previous experience will learn techniques to make more complicated forms and hone in their skills.  This class is a great opportunity for students of all levels to explore clay on the potter’s wheel in a fun and creative atmosphere.
