Art Classes Description

Watercolor Batik

In 3 hours we will create a 9 x 12 painting on Ginwashi rice paper using the batik process. After transferring a line drawing to the paper, step by step, in consecutive layers we will paint, dry and wax until the paper is completely covered in wax. The wax preserves lighter colors as we progress through to the darkest until we remove the wax using newspapers and a household iron.

There will be custom cut mats available for $5.00 extra, as well as other batiking tools and supplies.

Art for Small Hands

This program is a special event for our weekly kids art club. This event offers a fun new idea for kids to try out with our special guest teacher. It is still free to participate in. Just show up like normal and add a little fun exploration to your creative time.

Superhero Comic Collage

Make your very own comic canvas using images of some of your favorite Superheroes. We will up-cycle old comic books into a fun and decorative collage on a ready to hang canvas. Children of all ages will enjoy this.

Unique Photography

Working with beautiful pre-dyed chrome tanned leather, we'll start from the basics and use our skills to create something you can use everyday.

Kids get to play Santa’s Helper during this one-day workshop. Participants will make presents for loved ones and other Christmas crafts while enjoying hot cocoa and getting into the seasonal spirit. Your kids will have a fun and productive afternoon while you have some time to finish all those holiday errands!

Vintage Upcycle Jewelry Making
