Studios at Jacoby Arts Center

You could be working amongst a friendly, dynamic community of artists at the Jacoby Arts Center!

 

Jacoby Arts Center is seeking visual artists interested in professional studio space and to be a part of the Arts Center’s growth. The Artist Studios provide affordable space in a building that fosters a collaborative environment for artistic development.

 

The Jacoby Arts Center Artist Studios welcomes applications from artists working in the following disciplines: Book Arts and Paper Arts; Ceramics/Pottery; Digital Photography/Multimedia; Drawing and Illustration; Fibers and Textiles; Jewelry; Painting; Printmaking; Sculpture; Stained Glass; Lamp Works Glass and Woodworking.

 

The Jacoby Arts Center, advised by a jury of arts professionals, will select the tenants. The selection panel will strive to create a community of artists representing a variety of perspectives and practices.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to excellence and quality in their work. In addition, the selection panel will consider the artists’ preferred media and equipment requirements to maintain a compatible environment.

 

The Jacoby Arts Center has two studio sizes to choose from, 243 sq. ft. or 321 sq. ft. The 243 sq. ft. space rents for $100 and the larger for $200. Artists may share a studio with one other artist. Both artists must submit an application for approval.

To Apply to Lease Space in the Jacoby Arts Center Studios, artists must submit a completed application form and the required support materials. Applications are being accepted through August 19, 2011. You may tour the studios on Thursdays from 1:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., Saturdays, 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. and by appointment.
